Viewing Homes in Greenville
While doing your search on our site, the best thing to do when you see a property that you like is to mark it as a favorite. Not only will this help you to keep track of the ones you like, but it will also help us know which ones you prefer so that we can then use that information to find comparable properties with which you might have interest.Once you have selected your favorites, plan to give us at least two days planning time to make the appointments. Since many of the homes in today's market are occupied, they will require an appointment and that will give them time to prepare for the showings. Also, limit the number of homes you want to see in one outing to between six and eight at the most. After eight, all the homes tend to start blending together and you need time to "digest" the ones you have seen that day. We can always plan to go out again the next day, keeping in mind that we will need some time to organize showings that not only make sense from a driving standpoint, but also a time frame standpoint that will work for the sellers.
The List of Homes You Want to See is Long?
If you are not familiar with our area, you might end up with a long list of potential homes of interest. When that happens, the best way to start will be to narrow your list down to one or two homes per subdivision. This way, you can get a good feel for each community and begin to formulate in your mind the location that will work best for you. Once you have that in mind, we can see a larger list of homes for sale in those neighborhoods you like the best.
Since I always try to emphasize location first, house second, this process will help you to find those areas you like the best and thereby eliminating those that you don't. Also, while out viewing homes, if we get to a home and you decide you don't like it when we drive up, we can just keep on going to the next one. Try to keep a running account of homes you like the best and rank them in your mind as we go. This will help you keep the houses in a better top to bottom order of your true favorites. The goal in my house hunt with clients is to come away with a "top 3" and then we can decide if you would like to revisit those later.
